Selling Advice
The Real Estate Institute of Queensland recommends the Exclusive Agency method of selling residential property as the most effective way to achieve the desired outcome in the shortest possible time frame.
Listing exclusively with one Agent who has extensive local property market knowledge, who is up-to-date with all relevant laws and regulations, who has proven advertising, marketing and promotional and negotiating expertise, an excellent history of sales in the area and a good reputation ensures a smooth working relationship between the Vendor and the Agent.
An Exclusive Agency arrangement can be agreed for 30 to 60 days and can be renewed at the end of the period if so desired.
The Sellers’ advertising and marketing costs will be minimised as a reputable Agent will cover most of these expenses under an Exclusive Listing Agreement.

Any selling agreement where a licensed real estate agent is appointed a PAMD Form 22a must be signed by both the seller and the agent, legally setting out the terms of the selling arrangement.
